Daniel Oren’s conducting masterclass ended on 9 September.
The programme was very rich; the students were able to conduct the Orchestra Filarmonica Salernitana in a vast repertoire ranging from Beethoven to Puccini.
The masterclass also featured pianist Maurizio Iaccarino, soprano Marta Mari and tenor Alessandro Fantoni.
The main concept Maestro Oren wanted to convey was the need for a conductor to carefully study the score and to deeply feel the music: without strong feelings, interpretations do not leave their mark.
We were delighted that so many young talents were able to learn from one of the greatest musicians of our time!
